Thanks to the PDT for their correct diagnosis of the cost for the City Center and Justice Center projects. Since citizens will vote in November, at least they will know what the real cost is. A couple bucks a month for a valuable project that continues the change that Portsmouth is going through.
Robert Forrey in his River Vices blog (that really should allow comments) laments the stores of yesteryear that pulled up stakes while the gettin’ was good.
Forgive me for being slow, but I was not aware that the downtown Portsmouth OH of past decades was the only model for a vibrant city. I sure am glad that someone was willing to give up the horse and buggy model for something new. We know that things are changing, and new models exist.
